Jeddah built its whole social life along the water, and the corniche is the result: kilometres of waterfront, sculptures, promenades and towers that light up at dusk. Walking it is pleasant. Seeing it from the sea is something else entirely.
From the deck, the city becomes a single, uninterrupted panorama — no traffic, no barriers, no crowd between you and the skyline. In the late afternoon the light turns the buildings gold; at night the whole front becomes a line of lights on black water.
